Chinese delegation
On 27 April 2023, a delegation from Tongji University (Shanghai, China) visited our Faculty to establish a scientific and educational relationship, organized by Dr. János Lógó. Tongji University is registered among the leading universities not only in China but also in the world.
On behalf of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Tongji University, scientific lectures by
- Prof. Yong Yuan, titled “Issues on Seismic Performance of Underground Engineering” and
- Dr. Jiaolong Zhang titled "Small-data driven structural analysis of real-scale tests of segmental tunnel rings"
were held in addition to the introduction of their Faculty.
On our part, Dr. Szabolcs Rózsa, dean, and Dr. Balázs Kövesdi, deputy dean, introduced our Faculty. Also, Dr. Ákos Török reported on the ongoing research at the Department of Engineering Geology and Geotechnics.
The meeting ended with laboratory visits.
